API Error: HTTP 400 error after SEO Analysis

    Rank Math free

    Hello

I am trying to run a whole-site SEO Analysis on my site, but I get this error.

Previously, I had Rank Math on a development/testing website, and SEO Analysis worked fine. Now I have migrated the website to its production server, where it is currently in maintenance mode except for 3 IP addresses that have access, and I get this error.

On the dev/testing site, I used WordPress’s Discourage Search Engines setting, for obvious reasons – but I still got lots of good use from Rank Math. Why should it throw this error now?

    Thanks in advance,
    SP

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Your site is in maintenance mode and is returning a status 503, you can confirm that here: https://httpstatus.io

Rank math SEO analysis module will only function of your site is retuning a 200 OK status, whether in development or production.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Aha – I see. How annoying – I guess I have to wait till the official launch on Monday to do some last-minute SEO.

Thanks very much – at least it’s something known, and not a screwup I made somewhere.

    Best,
    Penelope
