I need help debugging. I think when I was messing with my ad settings with SheMedia, I somehow wiped my analytics code because now I’m getting zero traffic! Can y’all help me figure out what to do? I use RankMath for Google Analytics tracking…

Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support and we regret the inconvenience caused.
Search traffic is fetched in Rank Math’s PRO version. Could you confirm if you have a PRO subscription to Rank Math? If yes, please share the email address you used to purchase the subscription so that we can investigate further.
If the search traffic and other analytics data are not displayed in your Google Analytics account as well, please see if the analytics code is not present in the website’s source. If yes, please enable the Install Analytics Code option from Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics: https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/#install-analytics-code
You can also share your website’s URL so that we can verify if the analytics code is added correctly.
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Thank you.
I thought for sure that would solve it! Regretfully, I don’t have RankMath pro. I did see when I looked at my settings that I had somehow messed up my analytics settings. But I followed the steps you provided (super simple – just didn’t know where to look), and thought for sure it would work. But still, no change since enabling “Install Analytics Code.” And yes, my Google Analytics is still wonky, only showing 4 new visitors for today. This all coincided with me working on the settings for my new SheMedia ads, so I wonder if I screwed something up while trying to optimise ads on my site.

Hello,
It seems that the Analytics tracking code still isn’t installed.
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
I logged in to your website and checked the settings.
I checked the page source, the tracking code is now added by the Site kit plugin on your website.
As Rank Math is not connected, we cannot check the Analytics settings on your website. If you wish to add the tracking code using Rank Math, please connect Rank Math with your Google account, and configure the settings.
To verify, clear the website cache, open the website in a new tab and see if the real-time user count is updated in Google Analytics.
Let us know how it goes.
Looking forward to helping you.
I went ahead and removed Google Site Kit for now, and then reconnected Google Analytics in Rank Math. I went through the settings, hit save, cleared the cache, and opened an incognito browser and kept an eye on my Real Time Reports. I clicked down to content, then over to page views rather than users. It’s picking up on my homepage and archive pages every time I click there, but when I click into individual posts, it won’t show them at all. For some reason, GA isn’t connected to every post – just pages! I wonder how that could happen – any ideas?
Hello,
I checked the page source, the tracking code is already added in the page source of your pages and posts.
Please clear the website cache and search for
gtagin the page source.view-source:https://yourdomain.com/Hope that helps.
Thank you.
I’m able to see the gtag code you referenced. But when myself and family members click on individual posts, it’s not showing in my real time reports. On a normal Monday, I get about 400 organic clicks a day. I have had 3 visitors today.
What would be your next step if you were in my shoes? I don’t know any coding.
Thanks!
Hello,
It looks like Rank Math is still not able to add the tracking code on your website.
The code that is added currently is not coming from Rank Math.
Please remove the tracking code from the website, then please reconnect to Google, give all the permissions, and configure the settings.
Let us know how it goes.
We are here to assist you.
