Hi, my site is set up with Divi and Rank Math. All the pages have “index” enabled through robots.txt as well as on individual pages. But when I look at Analytics/Index Status, some pages have a red cross mark indicating that indexing is not allowed for them, with a hover text that says “Blocked by Meta Tag”. What is wrong?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Please rebuild the Analytics index by going to Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Rebuild Index:
Let us know how it goes.
We are here to assist you.
Hi Anas, Thanks for your quick response. I tried rebuilding the index. The page says “Post re-index in progress”. How do I know if the process is completed? Is there an option to check when the index status was last checked?
Hello,
You can check progress on the index rebuild by checking the url with the structure
yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=action-scheduler&status=pendingyou will see a queue of scheduled “rank_math/analytics/” tasks scheduled to run for a few minutes upto a couple of hours. The process is complete once the only analytics task left is “rank_math/analytics/data_fetch”Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
Hi Nigel, thanks for your reply. There are only two pending tasks: data_fetch and email_report_event. I guess the reindexing is done. I also tried running these tasks manually, and these now show up in “completed” tasks.
However, the “indexing allowed” status hasn’t changed for the pages. What else should I check?
I’ve uploaded a screnshot–please check the Sensitive Data section.
BTW, the “Index Status” tab says it was last updated on 18/05/22, two days ago. When does this get updated? Possibly the changes don’t reflect yet on this page?
Hello,
The “last updated” indicates when the last successful index status fetch ran. On the pending actions page, please click ‘Run’ under ‘rank_math/analytics/data_fetch’ to perform a manual fetch. Once the manual fetch has completed, your Index status data should be up-to-date.
If it is not up-to-date, we may need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
I’ve created a temporary login id and shared the details in “Sensitive data”.
Hi, Looks like Google tried indexing the pages. Now I get six “Redirect” errors on GSC. I used Screaming Frog SEO Spider, which says there are indeed six 301 redirects, which seem to be inappropriate. In addition, the tool shows a 409 error for the “contact” page. I’ve uploaded the screenshots and shared the URLs in “Sensitive Data”.
Hello,
The login link that you have shared is not working and redirecting to your homepage. Please reactivate it or create a new link so we can check this further.
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hi, I’ve reactivated the temporary login — the details are in the “sensitive data” section. Thanks.
Hello,
I checked the URLs, and the URLs are correctly redirected to the trailing slash version.
Also, the contact page is returning a 200 status, you can check with https://httpstatus.io/
Please submit the URLs for validation in the Search Console and wait for Google to recrawl the URLs.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
Hi Anas, thanks for your reply.
My original question was that the “Analytics/Index Status” page shows some pages being “blocked by meta tag”. The status shows it was last updated on 18/05/22. I tried all options in “Status and Tools/Database Tools” (except for the last one (“Delete Internal Links Data”), but the Index Status still shows it was last updated on the 18th. When and how does this page get updated? Do the pages indicated on this screen still have the indexing issue because of meta tags? If yes, how do I fix this? If no, why do the errors appear?
