    Dear Rank Math Support Team,

I’m reaching out for assistance with an issue I’m experiencing with AMP meta tags on my website. I’ve enabled AMP features in the Rank Math dashboard, but the required meta tags aren’t being added to all AMP pages. Specifically, the <link rel=”canonical”> tag is missing, which is preventing search engines from recognizing my AMP pages as alternate versions of my canonical pages.

I’ve tried the following troubleshooting steps:

    – Verified AMP setup and ensured AMP support is enabled in Rank Math
    – Checked meta tags in AMP pages’ HTML source code
    – Reviewed Rank Math settings to ensure AMP meta tags are enabled and configured correctly
    – Disabled other AMP plugins to check for conflicts

Despite these efforts, the issue persists. I’d greatly appreciate your help in resolving this matter. Please let me know if you require any additional information or if there are any further troubleshooting steps I can take.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the AMP meta tags on your website. Thank you for providing detailed information about the troubleshooting steps you’ve already taken.

To ensure that the “ tag is correctly added to your AMP pages, please verify the following:

    1. AMP Support: Ensure that you have enabled AMP support in the Rank Math settings. You can check this by navigating to Rank Math SEO โ†’ General Settings โ†’ AMP and confirming that the settings are correctly configured.

    2. Check for Conflicts: Since you’ve already disabled other AMP plugins, it might also be worth checking for any theme conflicts or custom code that could be affecting the output of the meta tags.

    3. Inspect the Source Code: After confirming the settings, inspect the source code of your AMP pages again to see if the canonical tag appears. If it still does not show up, it may indicate a deeper issue with how Rank Math is processing the AMP pages.

    4. Clear Cache: If you are using any caching plugins, make sure to clear the cache after making changes to the settings. Sometimes, cached versions of pages can prevent new changes from appearing.

If you have gone through these steps and the issue persists, we recommend replying to this ticket with any additional details or screenshots of your settings. A human agent from our support team will then take over and assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to resolving this issue for you soon!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

When we investigated this we can see that Rank Math is adding the correct rel="canonical" tag referencing the original non-AMP page. This is the best practice and is recommended by Google.

Can you confirm what tag you’re expecting from Rank Math that it isn’t adding?

We are looking forward to hearing back from you.
