To customize your description, you can head over to the specific post edit page and change the description in Rank math meta box by clicking edit snippet.
Add a Meta Description in Classic Editor:

Add title and description in Gutenberg:

You can also add a general description in Rank math > Titles & Meta > Post type then add this filter: https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/#use-global-meta-description to use the description set in global settings.
