All external links are nofollow even though I have unchecked the option

    I’m experiencing an issue with my WordPress site where all external links are being made to be no follow but the option is unchecked. I have tried everything from reinstalling themes, plugins, and WordPress. I have searched through functions code, plugin code, and theme code for things like nofollow but there ain’t anything. I have tried disabling all themes and plugins but the problem persists. It is as if the website is acting as if the box for nofollow external links is ticked, even when the plugin is deactivated and the theme is set to default. Can anyone help please?
