  • Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    For initial troubleshooting, please follow steps #3 and #4 (in case the other step doesn’t work) from this tutorial to see if that helps fix the connection: https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-automatic-update-unavailable-for-this-plugin/

    Can you please share the website error log with us when the issue happened?

    Having the error log file will give a clear idea of why this might be happening.

    You can follow this guide to enable debugging in WordPress
    https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/ or you can get in touch with your web host, they will help you locate the log file.

    Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    There isn’t seem to be any error logs that are related to our plugin, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

    It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

    You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

    I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    We apologize if we haven’t seen this earlier but it seems there’s a mismatch in the protocol of your URL.

    The current URL has an SSL protocol (https) while in your WordPress settings, you have http as you can see in the screenshot below:

    http

    Please ensure that you add the https protocol in “WordPress Address (URL)” and “Site Address (URL)”.

    After that, connect Rank Math again and this should permanently resolves the issue.

    Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Okay, Let me try this one too

    This time I haven’t updated the plugin yet and haven’t reconnected with the Rankmath account yet as I am waiting for you guys to check and fix the problem.

    Hello,

    I have added the code snippet below to your website in the astra theme, in the file rank-math.php:

    /**
     * Filter whether we need to check for URL mismatch or not.
     */
    add_filter( 'rank_math/registration/do_url_check', '__return_false' );

    Please disconnect and reconnect your website website one more time. I also enabled the WordPress error log so we can check what errors might be causing the disconnection. If your account disconnects again, please renew the WordPress temporary login link so we can investigate further.

    Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.
