    Hi RM 🙂

after the big update 2 days ago, I got a notification from SEMrush that the site map couldn’t be fetched and I also checked it on https://technicalseo.com/tools/hreflang/ and getting error (SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0 (200).) that it cant be fetched as well.
one more thing as well, i noticed that the wp-rocket cant see the whole site map to preload, it used to pre load more that 2000 pages, today, only preload like 70 pages.

could you please help me out here,
i added login in sensitive data with site map as well

    BR

    Hi Guys, little update:

the wp-rocket cache issue ben fixed, bye remove the sitemap from the preload, clear the cache, add it again, preload works fine,

but for the sitemap to be fetch, i tried to fetch the sitemap, after clear caches and remove the sitemap from the wp-rocket preload, and still not work.

    Hello,

I checked your sitemap and it is working fine from my end.

It’s also valid when I test it on this link: https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html

Have you verified the correct version of your website on Google? Please check if you have verified the www (or non-www) and https (or http) version of your website. If there is a mismatch, please fix that.

If you check these too and you are able to view your sitemap without any problem, then Rank Math is outputting your sitemap correctly and the error must be coming from Google. You can try and use a 3rd party sitemap plugin to confirm. Just make sure you have disabled the Sitemap module of Rank Math in WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard when using a 3rd party sitemap plugin.

If the other plugin works, please do let us know.

    Thank you.

    Hi Michael,

i have tried to install several SEO plugins on my staging website and they are all having the same error when i check them on https://technicalseo.com/tools/hreflang/

i have checked one for the sub xml site map as the following:

    mt-course-category-sitemap1.xml

and the error i got is does not contain hreflang tags, not only on RM, but also on yoast, all in one seo and many others.

so i am not sure if its the WPML issue or a thing that can be fixed in the future update ?

all the best and thank you 🙂

    Hello,

    Glad you found the reason.

Please stay advised that Google allows 2 methods for the translated pages:
    1. To generate separate Sitemaps for all the languages.
    2. To generate a single Sitemap and add hreflang tag on the respective pages. That is what Rank Math follows and this method is approved by Google.

Hope that helps further. If you need any other assistance, please feel free to open a new support ticket. We are here to help.

    Thank you.
