Greeting,
After the install and setting as per your guide, I am experiencing several issues.
1) It created 113 weird pages under this type of URLs (https://domainname.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=membership) for each of the categories created with prettylinks prior to the install. These are only categories and not pages. Do you know how to remove these links or how to set plugin to remove these pages?
2) I have tried four times to connect Analytics.Google.com without success. Don’t know what the problem is. Downloaded the Site Kit Plugin to fix the issue…still not working. Propriety still not showing.
3) Was previously using All-In-One SEO. Can’t succeed in importing the data.
4) I’m having multiple 404 since the install too.
I would appreciate your support please.
Thank you and awaiting,
Carole

Hello,
Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
1. Can you please share your website URL in the Sensitive Data section so we can take a closer look at it?
2. Please ensure that you have enabled Universal Analytics for this to work. You may refer more to these guides:
https://rankmath.com/kb/using-ga4/
https://rankmath.com/kb/connect-your-google-account/3. Ensure both Rank Math and AIO plugin are in the latest version before you do the migration. Can you please let us know which part of the importing process you are having trouble with? You may also check this full guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/all-in-one-seo-pack-migration/
4. This could be related to #1 but I am not completely sure yet as I still need to check that.
Do note that Rank Math only reports on the 404s. Rank Math doesn’t cause them and cannot stop them as we do not have information on how or why they are generated.
To monitor and fix these errors, you can refer to the following articles:
https://rankmath.com/kb/monitor-404-errors/
https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/Looking forward to helping you with this one.
Greetings Jeremy,
1) My website url: https://automatedmarketingtools.com
2) Great I succeeded to connect Analytics.Google.com (Thanks to you)
3) In the link section settings can you please tell me what options I should enable.
So far today I disabled the public taxonomies: Categories, Link Categories, Link Tags, to see if it would make any changes. Had the website crawled and it’s not doing anything.I have a feeling that the way my links were created with PrettyLink could affect some what.
he 404 are probably the pages it created. Look at the following examples. I have 113 false pages like the following!
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=email
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=affiliate-programs
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=lpbs
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=ebooks
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=membership
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=email
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=affiliate-programs
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=lpbs
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=ebooks
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=membership4) The data I wanted to import was the analytics SEO details, I previously had on posts and pages. So far on all posts and pages, none of it is showing.
Thanks for you support a awaiting,
Carole
Hello,
3. The URLs are throwing a 404 error. Can you please confirm where you are seeing these URLs?
4. We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Greetings Jaideep,
1) The 404 URL came from a site audit perform by ubersuggest.com. You can see several of them under the comment section in WP.
2) Full backup done.
3) I have edited all of my current affiliate links under pretty link and indexed them under category / recommends /. I destroyed the other categories. A site audit was done again and it seems to have settled the 113 previously created pages.
A post under the category online-marketing-software is blocked by robot meta tags and I do not know the reason. https://automatedmarketingtools.com/online-marketing-software/
SEO statistics previously compiled by All-in-one SEO are not transferred under rank math … is there a possibility or do I have to redo the job manually?
It seems to me that the problems possibly come from the settings of pretty link and those of rank math. But yeah I’m really not a tech … :). Thank you for your support, it’s much appreciated.
Hello,
Can you please share the URL of the post that is affected in your shared category? And I can check that the data from All in One SEO has already been imported. I activated AIO SEO and checked your posts and pages, the focus keyword and title & descriptions are set the same in Rank Math as you had in AIO SEO.
Looking forward to helping you.
Greetings Jaideep,
1) The post URL that is affected is:
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/online-marketing-software/
2) In the comment section of my site do you have any idea why I’m getting all these 404’s. I can see they are all related to the following post: https://automatedmarketingtools.com/clickfunnels-review-sales-funnel-builder/
This post was a “draft” before the install. I don’t know how it got published but it doesn’t matter. What matters is to stop receiving the 404’s. I put it in private mode in order to complete it. Do you think this will solve the comment problem?
Thank you for your help Jaideep, you don’t know how much it’s all appreciated.
P.S.: Please let me know when your done so I can remove the temporary credentials.
Hello,
1. I was able to check that the URL that you have shared was marked as Noindex in the Advanced Tab of the meta box.
I have set it to index and now the issue should be resolved.
2. I can checked the comment section and those are not 404s, those are the spam comments. You can follow this guide to stop spam comments on your site: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/vital-tips-and-tools-to-combat-comment-spam-in-wordpress/
Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.
Greetings Jaideep,
Thank you for the information about the spam stuff. I have a lot to learn!
Regarding the site I still don’t know why a category under Pretty Links still shows as a page??? Whatever category I create resume the same way!
No H1 Tag
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=recommends
No meta description
https://automatedmarketingtools.com/?taxonomy=pretty-link-category&term=recommendsDo you have an idea why with RankMath it is happening? This has to do with the taxonomy, but what option is causing this?
If you have any last suggestion about this issue it would be very appreciated.
Thank you for your support Jaideep and awaiting,
Carole
Hello,
Can you please explain more about the issue with these links? I checked on your site and the categories created under Pretty Links have those URLs. Where are you getting those
No H1 TagandNo Meta Descriptionerrors? The URLs are being created by Pretty Links. If you want them to hide from the crawlers and stop them from indexing then you can set the categories to noindex from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Pretty Link > Categories. Enable the Link Category Archives Robots Meta option and set the Robots Meta as Noindex.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thanks.
Greetings Jaideep,
The URL’s come from a site audit report informing me of errors to be corrected on the site.
What you just aim me to do hopefully will stop those pretty links URL’s from creating pages and indexing them.
All I can say at this point, is a huge, huge “THANK YOU” for your support. This should solve all the issues I was facing.
Have a great one,
Carole
P.S.: Temporary access is now canceled
