  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the noindex tag on your pages. To manage the noindex tag using the Rank Math plugin, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open the Post/Page: Start by opening the specific post or page in the WordPress Editor. If you are using the Gutenberg Editor, click on the Rank Math SEO icon in the top-right corner of the page to open the Rank Math Metabox.

      Rank Math Settings

    2. Locate the Rank Math Metabox: For Classic Editor and taxonomy terms, scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the Rank Math Metabox.

    3. Enable Advanced Mode: If you cannot find the Advanced tab, you may need to enable Advanced Mode. You can do this by going to Rank Math SEO → Dashboard and enabling it there.

      Rank Math Advanced mode

    4. Check Robots Meta: Once you have access to the Advanced tab in the Rank Math Metabox, check if the Robots Meta is set to No Index. If it is, simply select the Index checkbox and update the page/post.

    5. Check Titles & Meta Settings: Additionally, ensure that the noindex setting wasn’t set as a default value in your Titles & Meta settings by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and reviewing each section.

If you follow these steps, you should be able to manage the noindex tags effectively. If you still encounter issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If the Advanced tab is not showing, please switch to the Advanced Mode: https://rankmath.com/kb/switch-from-easy-to-advanced-mode/

However, it looks like the tag page URL you’ve shared is empty. In this case, please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > General, and from there disable the Noindex Empty Category and Tag Archives option:

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
