Advanced 404 monitor not showing hits column.

The normal 404 monitor does, but advanced doesn’t. It does in your screenshot in the tutorial, but on my site just has URI, Referrer, Agent and Access time

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math.

Try deactivating all of your other plugins and test again.
If that fails, please take a screenshot to show us the issue and include your WP admin access in sensitive data field.

    Looking forward to help you.

    Hello,

This is completely normal. The advanced 404 monitor counts each hit separately. That is because we include much more information about each hit like referrer, browser info etc.

That is why it doesn’t have a hits column because you will always have just one hit with a particular set of browser/referrer information.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi,

We have gone through a lot of changes in the plugin. Seems like we missed updating the screenshot.

    Sorry.

If you need assistance with anything else, please do not hesitate to ask.

OK, but it would be useful to show the number of hits for the same URL.

    Hello Pete,

As I mentioned, even though the URL might be the same – the other information like the user-agent/referer and the timestamp will never be the same. That is why it doesn’t make any sense to count the hits in the advanced 404 monitor.

If you need the hits column, please switch to the simple version of the 404 monitor.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
