Hello,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and apologies for the inconvenience caused.
Can you please confirm if you are maybe using any shortcodes to add the images? We cannot read the content within shortcodes currently.
If not, can you please check the page source and see if the image alt is correctly added to the image in question?
Looking forward to assisting you.
Cheers,
Hi Cris,
thanks you so much.
Well, I do not use any shortcodes.
Just upload into the media library in wordpress backend and there I add alt-text to my concerned images.
The focus keyword is still not accepted at your plugin.
I had created a login for you as you was asking in one of the last messages.
Could you please have a look in my backend and hopefully find the reason why it did not work correctly?
Thank you so much!
Kind regards
Andreas
Hello
Thank you for getting back to us again.
Upon checking your main site on your homepage this was the only section I noticed the error you claim. There was no image with an alt tag that is using the focus keyword.
If this is not the error you are talking about please let us know. You can use a platform like imgbb.com to take screenshots and paste their links here.
To resolve this test error, you can upload the featured image of this page in the WordPress editor sidebar and ensure it bears the focus keyword of the page. Here is a screenshot showing this section: https://i.rankmath.com/vtgkWQ
Doing so should resolve this test error.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
Hi Brian,
thank you so much for your reply!
Well, as I added a featured image to that concerned site the error was fixed.
But I still do not understand why only the (alt tag of the) featured image is accepted?
I have several other images on that site which exactly the same alt-text but then there is the described error.
Could you tell me, why only the featured image works for that issue?
Kind regards!
Andreas
Hello,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Usually, Rank Math’s Image SEO functionality is designed only to read the alt text for only images within the WordPress editor and not other sections like within the media library section.
By uploading the image under the featured section Rank Math is able to analyze it as it is being used within the page. We have added this as a suggestion feature to enable the plugin to also analyze images within the library and also within other editors as well.
Hope this clears your doubts here. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
