Adding noindex to paginated pages

    Hello,

    I heard we should noindex Category pages and Tag pages to avoid duplicate/thin content. But a lot of website indexing their Tags, specially for a news website like mine.

    I want to know how to add “noindex, follow” robots tag to all paginated pages on my website? For example:

    1) http://www.example.com/page/2
    2) http://www.example.com/category/page/2

    I want the main/1st page of Category and Tag pages to be indexed but not paginated ones.

    Is there any way to do this with RankMath SEO?

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Please navigate to WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc Pages and enable the Noindex Paginated Pages and Noindex Archive Subpages options. This will set your paginated pages as noindex.
