Add all variations to the sitemap

    Hello, according to ubersuggest, none of our product variations are appearing in google, or the sitemap.

    I have gone to sitemap settings in rankmath and can see the variation types listed, all are turned off.

    But underneath the “turn on” setting for each variation type, it says:
    “Include archive pages for terms of this taxonomy in the XML sitemap.”

    Why is a product variation called an archive? We want the shop product variations to appear in the google index, not archived/archives.

    Please help, thank you.

    I have searched google and your help files for an answer to this.

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us.

    I am sorry but product variations are not included in the sitemaps since they are just the same product page but with the variations set (usually the text after the ? character).

    Since the sitemap function is to let Google find faster the pages and with just the main one, Google will be able to crawl all the variations and index them.

    Hello, thank you for the reply
    First we are a pro subscriber, I’m not sure why this login doesn’t show it, somehow my StickyPasswords have got mixed up.

    Here is an image where ubersuggest says we have 979 url’s which are blocked.

    Hello,

    The URLs in your screenshot are not variations of the product, rather, they’re the add-to-cart links and you wouldn’t want them to be indexed on the SERPs.

    You can safely ignore these warnings.
