Please note that the sitemap generation for multilingual websites is controlled by the translation plugin, not by Rank Math. We add the main language sitemap and then the translation plugin handles how the other pages are added to the sitemap, or if they should get added to the sitemap.

Also, your translation plugin should add the hreflang tag to the pages to indicate what other variations exist for any given page/post on the website.
This method is also acceptable by Google for multilingual websites as you can see here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/specialty/international/managing-multi-regional-sites
However, the Polylang plugin is still not fully compatible with Rank Math.
