  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with your page not appearing in the sitemap and consequently not being indexed by Google. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Check if the Page is Set to Public: Ensure that the page is published and not set to private or draft status.

    2. Verify Sitemap Settings: Go to your Rank Math settings and check if the page is included in the sitemap settings. You can find this under Rank Math > Sitemap Settings. Make sure that the post type of your page is selected to be included in the sitemap.

    3. Submit Your Sitemap: If everything looks good, you can manually submit your sitemap to Google Search Console. The sitemap URL is usually https://yourdomainname/sitemap_index.xml. This helps Google discover your pages more efficiently.

    4. Inspect the URL: Use the URL Inspection Tool in Google Search Console to check the status of your page. This tool can provide insights into why it might not be indexed.

    5. Internal Linking: Ensure that there are internal links pointing to this page from other relevant pages on your site. This can help Google discover it more easily.

If after checking these points the issue persists, we recommend replying to this ticket with any additional details or concerns, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

The issue here is due to a mismatch in the current URL of the page and the canonical URL, as you can see from the screenshot below:

    Rank Math support

The URL shown in the canonical tag shows a missing trailing slash.

To fix that, please make sure to remove any manually added canonical URL from the Advanced SEO settings in the page/post’s editor:

After checking that, please follow the steps below:

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/

    3. Apply the following filter code to your site.

    add_filter( 'rank_math/sitemap/enable_caching', '__return_false');

Here’s how you can add filter to your WordPress site:https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

    4. Remove all your sitemaps from your Google Search Console and re-submit only the index sitemap (https://website.com/sitemap_index.xml)

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

Thank you for your valuable support. We are in the process of making the change, but we need your guidance on which option to choose for the snippet setting — Run Snippet Everywhere, Only Run in Administration Area, Only Run on Site Front-End, Only Run Once, or Priority.

    Hello,

In the Code Snippets plugin, you should choose “Run Snippet Everywhere”.

    Looking forward to helping you.
