A noindex page is indexed

    Hello,
    one of my pages that I defined in “noindex” with RankMath is indexed anyway.
    It is however in “noindex” since the very beginning of the construction of the site.

    I also just saw that another page which is this time in noindex, nofollow and in “draft” (not published) is indexed.

    I have a page eexample in sensitive data.
    There is :

    <meta name=”robots” content=”follow, noindex”/>

    But page is on Google SERP

    Hello,

    Thanks for getting back to us.

    The page you are seeing on Google is a cached version from February 10th.

    Upon inspecting the source code of that page from that day it seems that you had it to index so that’s why it appears in SERPs.

    Remember that noindex pages can take days or even weeks to drop out of search results, so if you want to try and speed up the process you can request a removal from this link: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals
