Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Error 502 are server errors, so they are related to your hosting. Our recommendation would be to please ask your web host to check them for you.
Also, Could you please check if you have used either %seo_title%
or %seo_description%
variables in the meta title or description of the affected post?
If so, please replace it with %title%
and %excerpt%
variables, and see if that fixes the issue.
Please let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you further.
Thank you
Hi @chandni
thanks for the quick reply,
I am self hosting and I am my own admin. However server config is OK. Maybe php8-FPM FastCGI Cache could cause issues with rankmath?
I replaced the variables now in the default settings for pages and articles. However I did not use the defaults in any article but always have a dedicated text replacement.
Are the variables a known issue, and why does the plugin have the wrong settings by default?
Thanks
Hello,
We do not have any known issues with variables. Could you confirm which wrong setting are you referring to?
However, we might need to take a closer look at the issue. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include the Affected URL & WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
![Sensitive Data Section](https://i.mythemeshop.com/SphEG0+)
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested and made backup. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
Upon checking the post you shared, it seems to be working just fine. I tried opening it on Gutenberg and clicking on the update button without changing anything and it doesn’t return any 5xx error. Please see my screencast for reference in the Sensitive Data section.
Could you please further check it? Or, please record a screencast from your end so we can know the steps on how to replicate the issue.
Looking forward to helping you with this one.
Yes, but you did not Upgrade rankmath to the latest version before. Right now it works only because I restored a backup of the server with the old version of the plugin in place. Please read this thread.
However, thanks anyway for the great support. I appreciate it very much.
Hello,
