    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    When you see a 429 error it means that the IP address of your website is sending too many requests to the API.

    Also, that error suggests that you are exhausting the quota limit for the number of publishing requests per day.

    Can you please confirm if you have selected the Auto-Submit Post Types? If yes, the post will be automatically sent to the IndexNow API when a post is published, updated, or trashed.

    However, if you have other websites on the same server or are on shared hosting, There’s a possibility that other websites may be using up the quota.

    We suggest you install the following plugin from Bing on your website and try submitting some URLs to understand if the issue is only from the IndexNow API implementation: https://wordpress.org/plugins/indexnow/

    Thank you for your fast Replay.

    I have installed the plugin and get the following message when I press “Manual URL Submission” and enter a URL:
    “Error : Submission failed for URL – https://www.larissa-jungo.ch/interior-design/”

    In RankMath I have “deselected” all content types, generated a new key and saved it.
    Unfortunately, this was not successful.

    If you’re facing the same error with the IndexNow Plugin that means the issue is with IndexNow API, not with Rank Math.

    As mentioned earlier, you may encounter this issue if you’re using shared hosting, as other websites on the same server might be consuming the allocated quota.

    That’s why we recommend using dedicated IP hosting if you want to use IndexNow without any issues.
