429 Error Instant Indexing RankMath

#816685
  • We are experiencing several repeated errors when using Rank Math for Instant Indexing on Google Search Console.

FIZZdesigns.co.uk is our website for our business however, we are also experiencing this same issue with all of our other websites when attending to this same tasks, all sites on 20i.

We have noticed however that the sites we work on who are not on 20i (other hosting providers) we are not experiencing this problem.

Hence why we are thinking it must be something at 20i that is stopping us from using this feature.

Can you have a look for me please because doing the URLs manually is taking us a lot of time and we need to get doing it via the API Rankmath option.

All settings are the same as we use on the sites that are working successfully on other providers. I hope this helps.

    Thanks Gregory

  • Hello,

I apologize for the repeated errors you are facing with Rank Math’s Instant Indexing feature on Google Search Console. It seems like the issue is specific to websites hosted on 20i. To address this problem efficiently, I recommend checking the following:

    1. API Key Configuration: Ensure that the Bing API Key is correctly configured in Rank Math SEO settings. If the API Key is incorrect or has been regenerated, it can lead to errors. You can refer to this guide for detailed instructions on setting up the API Key.

    2. Hosting Environment Compatibility: Verify if there are any specific server configurations or restrictions at 20i that might be affecting the Instant Indexing feature. Sometimes, hosting environments can impact API functionalities.

    3. Support from 20i: Consider reaching out to 20i’s support team to inquire if there are any known issues or limitations that could be causing the problem with Rank Math’s Instant Indexing feature.

If the issue persists after checking these points, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will further investigate and assist you in resolving the problem efficiently.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

This is common with websites on a shared hosting server, so you can get in touch with your hosting provider to clarify this issue.

Here’s a link for more information:

Also, please note that if you have automatic submissions set for any post type, each time you save an edit to a post inside that post type it will trigger a submission.

This might cause a high number of submissions if you are constantly making changes and saving them. If they are checked/enabled, then disable them.

    Looking forward to helping you.

Okay so How can I Resolve this Issue?

Because one of my website has 200 Response at this Point.
Your answer is so helpful for me. Thanks.

    Hello,

For some initial troubleshooting, you can change the API key and clear your website cache. Then wait for a few hours and try submitting another URL again.

Meanwhile, please confirm if your site is hosted on a shared IP hosting. The 429 response comes from the IndexNow API and has nothing to do with our plugin. It is a common issue with websites hosted on shared hosting. You can confirm that by using the official plugin of Bing for IndexNow: https://wordpress.org/plugins/indexnow/

The official plugin will also return the same response code. There is nothing we can do from our end to fix this. Let us know if the official plugin works.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I added this Plugin Website and after that it’s give me this error when I update the Page.

    Hello,

Since you are using shared hosting, you can’t fix the 429 error since the requests from all the sites will be from the same IP. The only solution is to switch to a dedicated hosting to use the IndexNow API.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
