For initial troubleshooting, please check if there are some PHP values that are too low and which you should increase. You can get in touch with your web host and ask them to set the following values (if not yet) :
PHP Memory Limit: 512M
Max input time: 150
PHP time limit: 120
PHP max input variables: 1000
Once done, clear your cache and check again the site while Rank Math is active.
If the issue still persists, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

Hello. The host has updated the PHP values as indicated. The issue still persists.
I will share the WordPress and FTP logins as requested. However, the host has blocked access to admin areas unless specifically allowed. Will you share the IP address you will be using while logging in so that they can whitelist your IP address?

Our team is distributed around the world and we use dynamic IPs, so even if you whitelist the IP now when we get back to the ticket our IP might already have changed.
You can whitelist or open access to countries India, Portugal, and the Philippines to investigate this issue on your site.

I was able to replicate the issue but the 429 occurs inconsistently so I wasn’t able to properly track what’s causing this. Sometimes it took me around 10 page refreshes just to replicate the error.
Is it possible for you to create a staging website for us to deeply debug the issue without worrying about breaking your live site? If so, please create one, replicate the issue there and share the admin login here so we can further determine what’s causing this issue.

I also haven’t been able to replicate the issue in the staging site. Moreover, I can’t seem to access the staging site’s admin as I was blocked.
Could you please check with your hosting provider again and see if they can track the origin of these 429 errors? See if they can provide some kind of log.
