Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with the 410 status code on your website. To redirect a page that returns a 410 status code to the homepage, you can follow these steps using Rank Math:
- Enable the Redirection module in Rank Math SEO by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Dashboard and enabling the Redirection module as shown in this screenshot:

-
Access the Redirections section by clicking on Redirections under the Rank Math SEO menu.
-
Click on the Add New button at the top of the Redirections page. This will allow you to set up your redirection for the 410 status code changes as shown in this screenshot:

By following these steps, you can redirect the 410 post to your homepage instead of showing a 404 error. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, please let us know.
Thank you for reaching out.

Hello,
If the redirect is not working, then one of your plugins or active theme is handling the 404 errors on your site.
Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), to determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
Here is a video you can follow as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcIWRhcUP2c
Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
Looking forward to helping you.
But All other 404 redirects are working only 410 is not redirected to homepage.
Hello,
Apologies for the confusion.
When you set a page to 410, it means you want to tell the search engines that the page is permanently gone and there is no other page that can replace it.
So, the page will not redirect anywhere. Rank Math will just add the 410 code to your page so that the search engines know what to do.
But if you have another page that can replace the one that is gone, then you should use a different type of redirection, like 301 or 302, to send the visitors and the search engines to the new page.
You can learn more about the different types of redirections and how to use them with Rank Math here: https://rankmath.com/kb/redirect-types/
The Fallback Redirection option only redirects the URLs that have 404 status.
Looking forward to helping you.
