410 error code on one category page

    Hello. I moved a site over to RankMath and a strange error popped up when I ran a crawl of it. This page is registering as a 410 error code: journeyera.com/category/malaysia

    It’s strange because it’s still displaying posts and the category description, but not the title. This is the only category page that is currently doing this.

    I can also confirm that this is a problem caused by RankMath because when I turn the plugin off, the category page displays properly again and the error code is resolved.

    Can you please provide some insight into why this is happening?

    Please check if you’ve set any 410 redirection for this category page in Rank Math > Redirections. You can also enable the Debug Redirections option from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections to find out this: https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/#debug-redirections

    However, if there is no redirection set for this page then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

    Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

    Upon checking your staging site, there is a 410 redirect added to that URL, that’s why it is showing that status. I have added the URL for that from your staging site in the sensitive data section.

    The redirect is also deactivated, so you can check that the category is already showing there.

    Ok I wasn’t aware that RankMath was handling any redirections for the site so I didn’t bother checking there. Thanks for looking into that for me. The issue has been resolved.
