  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with setting the 410 status code on your URLs. It seems that you are trying to apply the 410 code to specific AMP URLs, but they are not being set correctly.

Currently, any deleted pages are handled by Rank Math as 404 errors, and they will show up in the 404 Monitor. If you have already marked them as 410s, you can safely ignore these errors. In a future update, we will make some changes to Rank Math that will help distinguish these errors better.

If you continue to experience issues with setting the 410 status code on those specific URLs, we recommend replying to this ticket. A human agent from the Rank Math Support team will be able to assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve it!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

You can use the following regex redirection on your website to redirect all the URLs with /amp slug:

    Source URL: (.*)/amp
    Match: regex

Here’s a screenshot for your reference:

Regarding the URLs with the query parameter /?amp, there is no redirection required for these URLs.

When a visitor lands on these pages, the query parameter will be ignored, and the browser will load the canonical non-amp page for your visitor. In this case, no 404 error will be captured, and you need not worry about duplicate content issues since the page points out the canonical URL.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

By applying this method and adding (.*)/?amp and set 410 and update but its not working, when i check urls in https://httpstatus.io/ its shown 200 OK status for url. Images attach for reference.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Apologies for the confusion.

Please note that the kind of redirect for queried/parameter URLs is available only in the Rank Math PRO version.

Those URLs have the question mark (?) at the beginning as we have explained here:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/setting-up-redirections/#parameterized-url

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Team

Can you give me code which i can use manually to set 410 on all ? query parameters

    Hello,

For AMP pages with the query parameter ?amp, you just need to disable the AMP plugin on your site and then no redirection will be required. When a visitor lands on these pages, the query parameter will be ignored, and the browser will load the canonical non-amp page for your visitor.

In this case, no 404/410 error will be captured, and you need not worry about duplicate content issues since the page should have the correct canonical URL (main page URL).

    We hope this helps.

    Thanks.
