    Hello,

    my website still in dev and not fully launch yet, when i do a google search i noticed that my 404 page is showing in the google search result. i had noticed this about two weekes ago and since then i change it to No Index .

    should i wait a bit longer for the no index to take effect or is there something else i should do?

    Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You can give some time for Google to re-crawl your website (give it a couple of days). If you are still seeing your 404 pages on the search page, there may be a chance that you haven’t properly removed it from Google. Please follow these steps:

    1. Login to the search console and head over to the remove outdated content page.
    2. Enter the URL (web address) of the page that has the deleted content you want to remove.
    3. Select Request removal.
    If you see the message “We think the image or web page you’re trying to remove hasn’t been removed by the site owner,” follow the onscreen steps to fix this.
    4. If you see the message “This content is no longer live on the website,” select Request Removal.

    If the issue persists, please share your affected URL so that we can check it from our end.
