    Rank Math free

Hi guys, I’m starting a very brand new site, I have rank math installed. and I already have 404s. In your guide you write

    404s errors can happen when:

    Someone types the wrong address
Someone links to the wrong address
The file or page moves to a different address
The page or file is deleted
The page or file never existed

But, as you can see in the attachment https://ibb.co/BCymKnS, we’re not talking about pages or content. Here, ther are files that I did’t even known about…..like, for example, wp-content/plugins/elementor/assets/lib/swiper/swiper.min.js.map
I have red your guides, but I have no solution. If I delete this URI they come back but who is looking for these files?
Can I simply redirect them to the home page?
    Hope you can help me.
    Thank you!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank math Today.

We only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor.

That will give you more information like referrer and user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors.

You can also fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/

Or, you can add them to the exclusion list at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor > Exclude Paths

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
