404 error for website domain

    Hello, the domain of my website is coming up as a 404 error along with many other errors – please see below. My domain is golfhideout.com and you see it is throwing up an error for some reason? Is there something wrong with the software as I can access it. I also am getting a lot of wordpress errors… do you know why that may be? The only thing i can think of is that I deleted my old WP website and started again on a new WP theme, could these errors be related to the old WP theme and should I redirect them or just leave them?

    I checked the website, it is loading fine.

    When you see a 404 on your main domain name, that actually means someone or a bot is trying to access your website at https://example.com/https://example.com.

    You can simply ignore this 404 and go about your day.

    There is nothing to be worried about.

    Please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/monitor-404-errors/#advanced-404-monitor

    That will give you more information like referrer and user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors.

    You can also fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/

    Or, you can add them to the exclusion list at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor > Exclude Paths

    If you suspect the errors are caused by a security threat you can use a security plugin like WordFence or Sucuri.
