404 errors happen when someone requests a page or file that doesn’t exist. Actually, it’s more accurate to say the web server can’t find the file.
Please note that we only report the 404s. We do not have information on how or why they are generated.
To know what is causing the 404 errors on your site, you can enable the advanced monitor by navigating to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor > Enable the advanced mode
