    Hi,
Set-up a new redirect but it’s not working. All the other ones do.

    https://unityfuel.com/qr-code/
    301 redirect to
    https://unityfuel.com/after-sales-support/

Went through your steps to self diagnose.

Check the Redirection Rule: DONE, no change. Still no redirect.

Clear Cache: DONE, no change. Still no redirect.

Browser Cache: DONE, no change. Still no redirect.

Conflict with Other Plugins: DONE, no change. Still no redirect.

Server Configuration: Assuming all is okay

Check .htaccess File: Can’t be overwritten.

Debug console window not showing in debug mode for all my existing redirects.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with the 301 redirect not working. It sounds like you’ve already done a thorough job of troubleshooting the common issues. Since the redirect from https://rankmath.com/kb/setting-up-redirections/ tohttps://rankmath.com/kb/setting-up-redirections/ is not functioning despite your checks, here are a few additional steps you can consider:

    1. Check for Hardcoded Redirects: Sometimes, redirects can be hardcoded in the theme or other plugins. Ensure that there are no hardcoded redirects in your theme files or other plugins that might be conflicting.

    2. Review Server Configuration: Since you mentioned that the server configuration is assumed to be okay, it might be worth double-checking with your hosting provider to ensure there are no server-level redirects or configurations that could be affecting this.

    3. Use Rank Math’s Debugging Tools: If you have access to Rank Math’s debugging tools, try enabling them to see if any errors are reported when attempting to access the redirect.

    4. Check for SSL Issues: If your site uses SSL, ensure that both URLs are accessible via HTTPS and that there are no mixed content issues.

    5. Try a Different Redirect Type: As a temporary measure, you could try setting up a temporary redirect (302) to see if that works, which might help identify if the issue is specifically with 301 redirects.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket with any additional details or error messages you may encounter, and a human agent from our support team will take over and assist you further.

    Thank you for your patience!

    I’ve updated the log-in details.

    Please review.

    Hello,

What you did here is that you added the whole URL (including its domain) with a matching type of “Contains”. See here:

    Rank Math support

That means Rank Math would expect to find something like: https://unityfuel.com/https://unityfuel.com/qr-code/ which is incorrect. We have gone ahead and fixed it by removing the domain.

The redirection is now working. Please check from your end.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.

    okay.

I’m sure i tried both variations as you’ve shown as well.

Cleared all browsing and cache history and all is now working.

    Thanks
