301 Redirect not set up

    Hello,

    We have a page that is being redirected by Rank Math, but isn’t anywhere in the Rank Math redirection settings.

    https://www.snu.edu/refer
    301 redirects to
    https://www.snu.edu/home

    The Fallback Behavior setting is set to “Default 404”, and going to another non-existent page does show the 404 page. We already checked the active redirects for conflicts and found none. All redirects are using the “Exact” comparator. We have 44 active redirects, 0 Inactive, 0 Trash, and the wp_rank_math_redirections table only has the same 44 redirects. I’ve cleared all rows from the wp_rank_math_redirections_cache table as well.

    Please advise on other possible solutions or debugging steps.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

    Could you please check if this option is enabled in Rank Math > General Settings > Links?

    Attachments

    If so, please try disabling the option and check again if the issue persists.

    If it was fixed upon disabling that option, please check if you have an attachment with the same name as your URL (refer). You can reupload the media with a different file name or at least change the attachment slug, then enable the redirect attachment options again.

    Hello Reinelle,

    Thanks so much, that solved the issue. There are some documents in the media library with “reference” in the name, so it must have been trying to redirect to those for some reason. Thanks again!
