301 index page doesn’t work

    hi, I’m moving my site from https://thedesigneur.com to https://designtastemaker.com/ and I’ve set up each page 301 individually. but, GSC doesn’t allow me to do the move using their adress change tool. It says:
    ”
    301-redirect from homepage
    Couldn’t fetch the page
    https://thedesigneur.com

    I’m trying to 301 the index page but it doesn’t work. If I do the whole site 301 from the hosting company dashboard, each individual page / post 301 will get lost.

    How can I set up 301 for the index page?

    Unfortunately, Rank Math doesn’t handle server/domain-level redirection. The best way to achieve this redirection is via the .htaccess file. You can follow this URL for more details on how you can do that: https://chemicloud.com/kb/article/redirect-domain-using-htaccess/

    Here’s how you can edit the .htaccess file using Rank Math:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/edit-htaccess/

    Please do take a backup before editing your .htaccess file.
