When I validate my website sitemap, I found that issue, “1 Content is not allowed in prolog”
https://mekawyat.com/sitemap_index.xml
How to solve the issue, please?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
I checked your sitemap page and it seems to be loading just fine and I also submitted it to an XML sitemap validator and it returned without any issues:
Can you please let us know which validator are you using? You may also share a screenshot of the report you are seeing from your end.
Looking forward to helping you on this one.
Hello,
I’m using this validator,
https://www.xmlvalidation.com/
I think it is the best because the Google search console read my sitemap as 0
This is a screenshot
https://a.top4top.io/p_2400r0m651.pngHello,
The Discovered URLs 0 that you see in Google Search Console just means that the URLs in the sitemap were already found by Googlebot by other means, instead of via the sitemap. For example, Googlebot may have found the URLs from internal links or possibly from links on another site.
If you have submitted the sitemap recently, you need to wait for Google to crawl the sitemap.
However, if the issue persists, please follow the steps below:
1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:
https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:
https://rankmath.com/kb/exclude-sitemaps-from-caching/3. Remove all your sitemaps from your GSC and submit only the primary sitemap (https://yourdomain.com/sitemap_index.xml). See if the issue goes away after doing so.
Let us know how that goes.
Looking forward to helping you.
I tried all these solutions and nothing worked with me, even I changed the host to Amazon, Hostinger and even Contabo.
My website visits before the problem was 600K a month, now 200K and decreasing.
That’s so disappointing, can anyone of RankMath team help me privately, please? I will provide you with all the login details needed, and if you solve it I will pay for that and will advertise about RankMath in all my groups.
Please try to help me.Hello,
The tool that you’re using to test the sitemap seems to be adding a blank line at the top and thus the error is getting triggered.
I tested the sitemap’s source and removed that blank line and the error got fixed. Please have a look at this screencast for a quick reference: https://i.rankmath.com/RwZWSH
Your sitemap is working perfectly fine. Could you confirm if the content is getting indexed or not? If it is getting indexed, as for the 0 discovered URL from the sitemap, that is not an issue. It only means that Google has already indexed the posts/pages but not through the sitemap. We checked your sitemaps and they’re working properly.
It is possible that Google is crawling and indexing the post through other means like the internal links on your website and not through the sitemaps. As a result, the crawl budget for your website is exhausted, and Google is not able to discover the URLs through your sitemap.
As long as the URLs are getting crawled and indexed, there’s nothing to be worried about.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.
