  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the mismatch between your Rank Math SEO widget scores and your SEO report scores. Thank you for raising this concern.

Currently, Rank Math does not provide a built-in feature to automate the "Update SEO Scores" process via a Cron job. The recalculation of SEO scores is designed to be a manual process to ensure accuracy and control over when the scores are updated.

However, you can manually trigger the recalculation of SEO scores by using the Recalculate Scores option in the Rank Math dashboard. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Navigate to Rank Math > Status & Tools.
    3. Click on Recalculate Scores.

    Update SEO Scores

This will open a popup where Rank Math will start recalculating the SEO scores for your published posts where the focus keyword is set.

Please note that this process may take some time depending on the number of posts on your website, and you should keep the browser open until it completes.

If you require further assistance or have specific technical needs regarding automation, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further. If you are experiencing any technical issues on your site, please include your site URL in your reply.

    Thank you for your understanding!

    Hi Jeremy,

That did not fix our issue, it only fixed the “Recalculating SEO Scores” tool issue.

Please read my request again. We need a Cronjob that we can use to make sure our backend (widget’s) SEO scores match our frontend (report) SEO scores. They frequently do not match, so we don’t know what number or values to trust.

    Please consult your developers.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Sorry, but this operation is an Ajax call which is why you can’t close the page when the recalculation is happening. Meaning, this operation is not done by CRON job. We don’t have a CRON job for such option.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.

Unfortunately, there’s a communication gap between us.

Eventually, you guys will see the bug in your code and fix it.

Meanwhile, make sure the SEO Scores displayed in your widget match the SEO scores displayed in your SEO report.

Frequently, they do not match until I run the “recalculate” tool.

    Best to you!

    Hello,

The scores from the editor of the post or page should always reflect on both the post list and Site Analytics. The way our plugin updates that is by saving the modified post and rebuilding the analytics index.

If this is not the case on your website, this is something we need to investigate.

Additionally, if the Scores on the page don’t match in scores in the SEO report in the Analytics area, rebuilding the analytics index in our Database Tools should work.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Thank you for your clarification and for sharing the screenshots.

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Rank Math plugin. If not yet, please do update them. You may refer to our changelog page here: https://rankmath.com/changelog/

Then, like we suggested previously, please rebuild the Analytics index in the Database tool of the plugin and you can also follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/delete-old-analytics-data/.

After that (give a couple of minutes), go to Rank Math → General Settings → Analytics and click the email preview to see if the stats match the data from the plugin or you can directly visit using the URL below:

    http://WEBSITE.COM/?rank_math_analytics_report_preview=1

Replace WEBSITE.COM with your actual website.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hey Jeremy,

Unfortunately, none of your suggestions helped. Only a manual cronjob running — say every 30 minutes — will ensure that Rank Math’s backend (Dashboard Widget) and frontend (SEO Report) SEO scores match.

Can you consult your developers on this? I read all of Rank Math’s documentation, so no need to repeat what I already learned.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

We would like to check this on your website as we can’t replicate your situation from our end. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hi Jeremy,

Unfortunately, our company does not grant website access to unknown 3rd-party “support staff” members. We will hire a separate, known developer to fix the issue.

    Thank you,

    Petar
