Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with editing the Meta Description on your homepage. It sounds frustrating, and we appreciate you providing detailed information about the steps you’ve already taken.
Since you mentioned that you’re using the Classic WordPress setup and have switched to advanced mode, here are a few additional things you can check:
-
Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can interfere with Rank Math’s functionality. Try deactivating other plugins temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
-
Theme Compatibility: Ensure that your current theme is compatible with Rank Math. You might want to switch to a default WordPress theme (like Twenty Twenty-One) temporarily to see if the issue persists.
-
Browser Cache: Clear your browser cache or try accessing your site from a different browser or incognito mode to rule out any caching issues.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will take over and assist you further.
Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to helping you resolve this issue!
Please I need your support.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
This issue could be caused by conflicting plugins/themes on your website. Kindly make sure you are using the latest version of all the plugins and themes, please update if not yet.
Here’s a guide for troubleshooting further if the issue persists:
https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/
You can also follow the steps in this video:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

It is completely secure, and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the plugin below to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
