    Hello, I am experiencing an issue with the Rank Math plugin on my website. Every time I try to connect Rank Math to my site, I receive the following message:

    “It seems that your site’s URL has changed since you connected to Rank Math. Click here to reconnect.”

    When I click “reconnect,” I get the following error message:

    *”Rank Math SEO Plugin
    ❌ Plugin Activation Error
    There was an error while trying to activate the plugin on your site. Please check the following:

    The ‘Site URL’ and ‘Home URL’ settings in your WordPress General Settings are set to the same URL.
    Make sure to use the same URL when connecting your site.
    Try our troubleshooting guide to resolve the issue.
    If you are still having issues, please contact our support team.”*

    The issue is temporarily resolved when I deactivate and reactivate the plugin, but the error comes back, and the site disconnects again. I have confirmed that the Site URL and Home URL in the WordPress General Settings match correctly, as stated in the settings. I have tried several solutions, but the issue persists.

    I am attaching a screenshot of the WordPress General Settings for your reference.

    I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this issue permanently.

    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Juan null

  • Hello,

    We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Rank Math plugin. It sounds frustrating to deal with repeated disconnections and activation errors.

    Since you’ve confirmed that the Site URL and Home URL in your WordPress General Settings match, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Ensure You Are Using the Latest Version of Rank Math: Make sure that you have the latest version of the Rank Math plugin installed. You can check for updates in your WordPress dashboard.

    2. Clear Cache: Sometimes, caching can cause issues. Please clear your browser cache, website cache, and any site-level cache you might have.

    3. Disconnect and Reconnect: Try disconnecting your Rank Math account again and then reconnecting it. You can do this by going to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → Dashboard → Help, and then clicking on Disconnect Account. After that, click on Connect Now to reconnect.

    4. Add a Filter: If the problem persists, you can add a filter to your website to bypass the URL check. You can do this by adding the following code to your theme’s functions.php file:

      /**
      * Filter whether we need to check for URL mismatch or not.
      */
      add_filter( 'rank_math/registration/do_url_check', '__return_false' );

      This should help in keeping the plugin connected without issues.

    5. Check for Plugin Conflicts: There might be a conflict with another plugin or theme. You can refer to our guide on checking for plugin conflicts to see if any other plugins are causing this issue.

    If you continue to experience problems after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket with your site URL so that we can assist you further. A human agent from our support team will take over and provide more specific help.

    Thank you for your patience, and we hope to resolve this issue for you soon!

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and we are sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    You may try disconnecting and re-connecting Rank Math to see if that works for you. Following the notification prompt usually attempts to re-establish the connection with the previous domain URL you were connected with, so if you have changed it since then you have to establish a new connection.

    You should disconnect your account by navigating to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard > Help and then simply disconnect the account by clicking on Disconnect Account.

    2. Once you’ve disconnected your Rank Math account, you can connect it again in the same settings. In order to connect your correct account, click on Connect Now.

    3. Once you click on Connect Now, please ensure that you’ve selected the correct account and then click on OK, Activate Now.

    Let us know how this goes. Also, let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.

    I have already followed your instructions and disconnected/reconnected my Rank Math account as suggested. While this temporarily resolves the issue, the problem returns after some time. I once again receive the message:

    “It seems that your site’s URL has changed since you connected to Rank Math. Click here to reconnect.”

    When I attempt to reconnect, I now see the following incorrect URL in the activation prompt:

    URL: https://encajeondasdomar.com.443

    However, I have checked the Site URL and Home URL in my WordPress General Settings, and they are correctly set without the .443 at the end.

    Could you please help me resolve this issue permanently?

    Thank you for your support.

    Best regards,
    Juan
