    I am experiencing a persistent issue with Rank Math SEO. When optimising a post or page, I am able to achieve a high SEO score (around 90), but as soon as I click “Update”, the score suddenly drops to 23.

    Troubleshooting Steps I’ve Tried:
    – Checked for Plugin & Theme Conflicts – I disabled all plugins except Rank Math and tested different themes, but the issue remains.
    – Cleared Cache & Cookies – I cleared both browser and WordPress cache, but the score still resets after updating.
    – Deactivated & Reinstalled Rank Math – I removed Rank Math completely, reinstalled it, and reconfigured the settings, but the problem persists.
    – Checked JavaScript Console for Errors – No major JavaScript errors related to Rank Math were found.

    Despite these efforts, the SEO score still drops upon updating the post. I would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue.

    Update SEO Scores

    A popup will appear, and Rank Math will start recalculating the SEO scores for your published posts where the focus keyword is set. Please keep your browser open until the process is complete.

    Once done, you should see a success message indicating that the recalculation is complete.

    • Check if your firewall or security plugin is blocking access to Rank Math’s files. You can do this by looking at your firewall logs and seeing if there are any blocked requests to these files:

    Upon checking the Rank Math routes on your live site, it is getting blocked by your WordFence firewall.

    In WordFence, you may need to ensure that the Rank Math routes are not getting blocked by the WordFence firewall:

    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSeoScore

    Here’s a guide you can follow to whitelist the route:

    If you’re not using the WordFence plugin, then the firewall must be from your server. If that’s the case, you should get in touch with your web host to whitelist the Rank Math routes.
