    Rank Math free

I am currently in the process of transitioning my website from a server that used Yoast SEO to a new server where we intend to use Rank Math. Our current website is hosted and is built on WODsites. We have constructed a new site using Elementor and have decided to switch to Rank Math for our SEO needs.

We would like to ensure that our SEO efforts are not diminished during this transition. Could you please guide us on how to properly transfer all the SEO metadata (including titles, descriptions, and any other SEO settings) from Yoast SEO to Rank Math? Is there a specific tool or procedure within Rank Math that facilitates this import?

Any detailed steps or resources you could provide would be greatly appreciated, as we aim to maintain our SEO integrity during this server and plugin transition.

    Thank you for your assistance.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing during your transition from Yoast SEO to Rank Math. Thank you for raising this concern.

To properly transfer all your SEO metadata, including titles, descriptions, and other settings from Yoast SEO to Rank Math, you can follow these steps:

    1. Install Rank Math

    • First, install the Rank Math plugin on your new server where you are building your site with Elementor.

    2. Open Rank Math Setup Wizard

    • Once installed, the Rank Math Setup Wizard should start automatically. If it doesn’t, you can initiate it by going to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → Dashboard → Setup Wizard.

    3. Deactivate Yoast SEO Plugin

    • If the Yoast SEO plugin is still active on your new site, deactivate it during the setup process. Rank Math will check for any compatibility issues and allow you to proceed with the import.

    4. Import Data from Yoast SEO

    • In the Setup Wizard, you will find an option to import data from Yoast SEO. Click on Start Import and wait for the process to complete.

    Input data available from Yoast

    5. Verify Import Completion

    • Once the import is complete, you should see a status indicating that it was 100% completed.

    6. Configure Additional Settings

    • After importing, make sure to review and configure any additional settings in Rank Math to ensure everything is set up according to your needs.

If you missed the import during the Setup Wizard, you can also use the Import & Export feature:

    • Navigate to Rank Math SEO → Status & Tools and click on the Import & Export tab. From there, you can select the data you want to import from Yoast SEO and proceed with the import process.

Click on Import & Export tab

By following these steps, you should be able to transfer all your SEO metadata effectively without losing any important settings. If you encounter any issues or have further questions, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Best of luck with your transition!

    Hello,

If you notice the import process stopped during the SEO Calculation process

    stop

Please try reimporting the data in Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export > Other Plugins, then under the plugin column, uncheck the Calculate SEO Scores option below, and click the Import button.

    Calcu

There’s an issue with the Calculate SEO Scores option upon importing the Yoast data, which might hinder the process.

However, if you want to recalculate the scores, then you can follow the steps in this link later on:

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Reinelle,

You do understand these are two sites on completely different servers right?

How do I get the data from one site to the other? We don’t have Yoast SEO on the new site and server only on the old site.

    Hello,

Our Import feature only works where the data is available on the same database of your site.

In this case, you may need to install Yoast on your new site and then import the data from your old site.

Once done, you can then process the import from Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export tab.

Alternatively, you can import the metadata from Yoast via CSV file using Rank Math PRO:

    Looking forward to helping you.
