Hello,
We apologize for the issues you are facing with your website traffic and the Rank Math plugin. Thank you for providing detailed information and screenshots, which will help us understand your concerns better.
Merchant Listing in Google Search Console
Regarding the unexpected merchant listing appearing in your Google Search Console, it’s possible that Google is automatically generating this listing based on the content or structure of your site. Even if you haven’t created a merchant account, Google may still index certain elements of your site that resemble a merchant listing. To address this, we recommend checking your site’s structured data to ensure there are no unintended e-commerce signals being sent to Google. You can use the Rich Results Test to analyze your pages for any structured data issues.
Altered Meta Titles and Descriptions
As for the issue with your meta titles and descriptions changing unexpectedly, this can happen for several reasons:
- Google’s Choice: Google sometimes chooses to display its own version of the title and description based on what it believes is more relevant to the search query.
- Schema Settings: Ensure that your schema settings are valid and correctly configured in Rank Math.
- Indexing Issues: If the latest version of your page hasn’t been indexed yet, Google might show an older version of your title and description.
To check what you have set using Rank Math, you can refer to the following guides:

Google Shows A Different Meta Title/Description For My Site » Rank Math
Hello,
You mentioned that you’re using Rank Math PRO, but the account you used to open this ticket is the Rank Math free version.
Can you please search and forward a receipt from FastSpring.com or the email address you used to purchase so we can locate your account and verify it?
Meanwhile, please note that the Merchant Listing snippet is automatically generated by Google using the data you submit in the Product Schema.
However, if Google doesn’t find your site eligible for Merchant Listings, they will not generate that. You can also read here that Google states this is based on the Product Schema: https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2022/09/merchant-listings
Regarding the meta title and description, you can verify the meta tags for those URLs if they are already set:

If the title/description is already set in the page’s source code, please note that Google and other search engines sometimes ignore the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

Looking forward to helping you.
I think you are being an idiot. I already explained that Google and other search engines often ignore custom meta info and instead display content from the page that better matches the search intent. I understand your point about using the site: tag to check your pages, but the meta title displayed is irrelevant to the page. You should understand this.
First, did you check the website? I’m sure you haven’t and are just messaging me generally.
Hello,
We checked your site’s appearance on Google SERPs using the site:
and found it to be different from your screenshot:

Both the title and description appear to be relevant, and the title seems to be adapted from the page’s H1 tag “WordHero Review: Best AI Writing Tool for Unlimited Content?”.
Just as we stated earlier, Google sometimes overrides the set meta title and description based on relevance to the search query. To increase the chances of Google using what you have set, ensure it closely matches the search users’ intent or likely search queries.
We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
Thank you.
