  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with strange URLs causing 410 errors. These types of URLs often arise from various factors, including:

    1. Improper URL Encoding: The URL you provided contains encoded characters (like %3E), which can happen if the URL is not properly formatted or if special characters are included without proper encoding.

    2. Spam or Malicious Activity: Sometimes, strange URLs can be generated by bots or malicious users attempting to exploit vulnerabilities in your website.

    3. Deleted Content: If a page that previously existed has been deleted and is now returning a 410 status code, it indicates that the content is permanently gone. This can happen if the URL was indexed by search engines before the content was removed.

    4. Misconfigured Redirects: If there are misconfigured redirects on your site, they might lead to strange URLs being generated, which could also result in 410 errors.

To address these issues, you may want to review your website’s settings and configurations. You can also refer to our guide on fixing unwanted URLs redirecting for more insights on how to manage these kinds of problems.

    Hello,

Can you please share where you find these URLs? In case, you get them on Google Search Console, you can use the URL inspection tool of your GSC account to check the URLs and view the referring page to make sure from where they are coming.

Once you know the referring page, you can unlink or remove them so Google won’t discover the URLs again.

Regarding the 410 redirection, please remove the domain name from the source URL and check again.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

410 URL was found in SEMRUSH TOOL, it is showing error ~ So I want to request content removal by redirect, I am trying to register in bulk but registration is not working, please fix bulk registration

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

If their status is already 410 in Semrush, then you won’t need to create the redirect.

You should determine how that tool discovers those URLs by their referring page URL and fix the root cause instead.

    Looking forward to helping you.
