Cueing from other users where this issue was investigated, we found that it is happening due to the conflicting ActionScheduler packages used in the plugins on the site.
There is likely a plugin using an older version of the ActionScheduler package, while our plugin uses the latest version, v3.9.1.
Since it’s on an external plugin, the culprit plugin will need to update this package in their plugin. They might have already done this in their latest version, kindly ensure you are using the latest versions of all plugins and theme.
If they are all up to date the easiest way to identify the culprit plugin will be to do a plugin/theme conflict check; you can follow this guide for that: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

That was a great lead. Thank you.
After extensive testing and research, I learned the following:
1. In my case, RM 1.0.237 conflicts with MailPoet (plugin). When I deactivate MailPoet, Action Scheduler runs with no issues.
2. It appears the issue is caused by Action Scheduler 3.9.1. From the developers of Action Scheduler:
… it’s actually something that can be replicated any time Action Scheduler 3.9.1 is present but loaded after an earlier version. We’ll look into a fix on our side.
Based on the above, the temporary fix is to downgrade to RM 1.0.236 until the developers of Action Scheduler implement a fix and your team adopts it.
Perhaps you can share this with your customers via public post (in this forum and WordPress’).

Instead of downgrading as we don’t recommend using outdated plugins or themes, you can install Action Scheduler by Automattic.
If you install that plugin it should manage the ActionScheduler package instead of the individual plugins’ versions.

Great suggestion. However, I prefer to wait until the developers of Action Scheduler come up with a fix.
Also, I sent a support ticket to the developers of MailPoet requesting clarification and/or a fix for the conflict.

Just wanted to let you know many WP users and plugins are having issues due to Action Scheduler 3.9.1. – including yours.
Here’s another case … WP Rocket recently downgraded to Action Scheduler 3.9.0 due to several issues as well.
Thought I’d share this with you. Hopefully, you guys plan to downgrade to AS 3.9.0 soon!

Yes, we fixed the PHP error on the Scheduled Actions page in that beta version. A stable RM 1.0.239 version will be released soon.
