Stats empty & disconnecting

    Rank Math free

I saw a number of tickets about issues with analytics, but I didn’t see any that seem to be quite the same problem. I’ve recently installed RankMath on two separate sites (same server). Both have Google Analytics data previously installed by other means, so when I set up Rank Math, I enabled all GA permissions except to create a new GA profile (not necessary, as I already have one), and I did not set the toggle to tell it to install GA. (Don’t want two copies of the code!)

During the wizard, in both cases it found my profiles just fine, but both hung up during “saving” the Search Console settings, and I had to skip that page and come back to it later in the settings. (I don’t know whether that’s relevant.) I seem to have fewer drop-downs in these profile sections than what I see in screenshots, too; I’m not sure if that’s a clue to a problem or if it’s a matter of different versions.

So after getting through the wizard, I went back to the settings. I was able to finish connecting my accounts just fine — everything looked good — and retrieve data. It took about 40-45 minutes on each site. But once it was downloaded, all the data was blank. It’s just possible there really is no data in these categories for the smaller, newer site, but I’m certain it’s wrong for the larger, older site. I’ve used the database tools section to purge the analytics cache and re-retrieve, with identical results — downloads for about 40 minutes and then the data is all blank.

Stranger still, twice I’ve gone back in to recheck and found that it’s telling me to “connect Google services,” just as though I’d never even started. The first time I repeated the whole process, with the same results as before. I haven’t tried again yet.

(And in a related question: One of these sites also has ExactMetrics installed. It should not be a conflict to have another plugin, like ExactMetrics or MonsterInsights, that pulls GA data, installed, should it, as long as only one of them installs the GA code?)

  • Hello

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The Analytics module might not be returning any value because we have hit the allowed API limit due to the sheer number of users using the latest version.

Google allows applying for an increase in the quota limit only when someone hits at least an 80% API limit, which happened after we released the final version and everyone started to mass-import their data.

With that said, we have applied for an increase in the quota limit and as soon as that happens, the Google Analytics part will start working again.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Gotcha! I’ll just be patient, then. 🙂 Thank you!

    Hello,

We are glad to know it is working now.

Feel free to let us know if you need any further assistance in future.

Thank you for using Rank Math.
