Problem role manager

#95107
  • Hi, I would like to allow contributing users to set the seo of the article, but I don’t understand how I can do it. At the moment I have selected these functions for them: Titles & Meta Settings, On-Page Analysis, On-Page General Settings, On-Page Social Settings

However, if these are activated for the publisher role, they allow the creation of the article seo, why does this not happen for the contributors? They can enter the keyword and title for google but when they save those settings they vanish.

    I await information

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please create a publisher user then edit the first post on this ticket and include the WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I tried to create a test user with a contributor role but it seems the access provided is limited. Please create a test user that we can test with for this issue.

You should also try checking if the contributor role is being blocked from saving the changes by WordFence in which case it would be reporting an error 403 in browser console.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Let me know how to proceed and if you can manage it through the access link I sent you previously to enter the site with an administrator role (even if it does not allow you to create users)

    Hello,

Please put WordFence into learning mode and then try editing the posts again where you noticed the error.

    Hope that helps. Thank you.
