Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Rank Math plugin regarding the category title not reflecting in the tab bar. Thank you for providing the details and the video link; it helps us understand the problem better.
It seems like there might be a configuration issue or a caching problem that is preventing the updated title from displaying correctly. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:
- Clear Cache: If you are using any caching plugins, please clear the cache and check if the title updates in the tab bar.
- Check Title Settings: Ensure that the title settings for your category are correctly configured in Rank Math. You can do this by navigating to the Rank Math settings and checking the Titles & Meta section.
- Dynamic Variables: If you are using dynamic variables for your titles, make sure they are set up correctly. You can refer to our documentation on Dynamic Variables for more information.
- Browser Cache: Sometimes, the browser cache may also cause issues. Try opening the page in an incognito window or clearing your browser cache.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will take over and assist you further.
Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to resolving this for you soon!
Hello,
We can see you’re using the %category% variable for the SEO title which is used to display the category of the current post or the current category on the category archives.
In order to use the category title in the SEO title, you should use the %term% variable. Here’s a screenshot for your reference:

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.

Hello,
You can also verify the title and description meta tags for those URLs if they are already set:

If the title/description is already set in the page’s source code, please note that Google and other search engines sometimes ignore the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

Looking forward to helping you.
