After publishing new posts on my website, the Rank Math sitemap is not automatically updating to reflect the new content. Even after clearing the cache and manually refreshing the sitemap, the new posts still don’t appear in the sitemap submitted to search engines. This issue is causing delays in indexing new posts. I have verified that the sitemap settings are correctly configured, and the problem persists despite multiple attempts to resolve it.

Could you please investigate and advise on how to resolve this issue?

This issue is relevant because sitemaps are crucial for SEO and content indexing, and it can affect a website’s visibility on search engines.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the Rank Math sitemap not updating after publishing new posts. It’s important for sitemaps to reflect new content for effective indexing.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

    1. Check Sitemap Settings: Ensure that your new post types are included in the sitemap. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings and confirming that the new post types are set to be included.

    2. Flush Permalinks: Sometimes, flushing permalinks can help resolve sitemap issues. Go to Settings → Permalinks in your WordPress admin area and click the “Save Changes” button without making any changes. This can refresh the permalink structure and may help with the sitemap update.
      Flush permalink settings

    3. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Use the Health Check plugin to identify any potential conflicts with other plugins that might be affecting the sitemap functionality.

    4. Disable Caching: If you are using a caching plugin, try disabling it temporarily to see if that resolves the issue. Caching can sometimes interfere with the dynamic generation of sitemaps.

    5. Validate Your Sitemap: Use the Validate XML Sitemap tool to check if your sitemap is correctly configured. Enter your sitemap URL and click VALIDATE SITEMAP to see if there are any issues.

    6. Check Post Visibility: Ensure that your new posts are set to be indexed. Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and check that the posts are not set to noindex.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

The URL is already included in your sitemap.

Please note that Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two) and that has a direct effect on how soon or how late your content can get crawled/indexed.

It depends on a lot of factors. Your posting frequency + the domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing URLs.

    Looking forward to helping you.
