WP-json links in page

    Hi Rankmath hero’s,

On our website I see that a WP-json link is created in the source code and also followed by Google. Can you tell me what to do with it and if this influences our rankings in a bad way. I’ve read something about Google already knowing not to index these links. But why do these links do not have a standard noindex tag?

Should we add Disallow: /wp-json/ to our robots.txt?

I also read about stories of duplicate content due to these links.

My website URLs are in the sensitive data field.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Please advice.

    Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

The WP-Json links are not added to your site by Rank math. Rank math creates it’s own Json string which is used to add page schema. I don’t believe the wp-json links should have any negative effects to your site as the are not actual links, just included elements. The links that are considered by Google as follow or nofollow links are <a href=""></a> not <link href="">

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
