Please note that the position you’re seeing in your Google Search Console would not be the exact position when searching on the SERPs.
You might not always see the same position when you check yourself. That’s generally due to personalization, geo-targeting, or because of short-lived visibility in search.
The metric is shown as an average position, which averages the position value for all impressions (because the position of the link will be different each time it is seen):
