Some images on your homepage have no alt attribute (2)

Am trying to work through all your recommendations on the SEO Optimiser which is SO helpful.

The error comes up: Some images on your homepage have no alt attribute (2)

I’ve followed your instructions and enabled the ‘add missing alt attributes’ and the ‘add missing title attributes’. I’ve flushed the cache and the CDN but still have the error.
I’m not sure which images it refers to as the code is a very very long paragraph of code. No mention of an image in the code.

I have sent the code in the Sensitive Data box.

    Thank you SO much

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please share your homepage URL with us so that we can check the issue further for you?

Also, please note that Rank Math adds missing ALT attributes and titles only for images added in post or page content, it will not do so for images added by your WordPress theme or page builder to various sections like your sliders, thumbnails, icons, headers, sidebars, footers, etc. as they only apply to images added directly on your content, and added on the fly.

In case, the images on your header or footer don’t have any ALT attributes, you’ll have to add them from your website media library.

Once done, please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools and click the Clear SEO Analysis and Remove Transients buttons to flush the SEO Analysis cache.

    Flush

Please clear your website and any server-level caching on your site before doing the SEO analysis again.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi
    my homepage is
    https://www.rchittenden.co.uk

I’m afraid I don’t quite understand what it is that you want me to do. I had added alt attributes to my icon and anything from my library. On the slider I have made sure that each image featured has alt attributes.

Would be very grateful for your further advice on how to isolate what it is that is triggering the error.

    Thank you so much

    Hello,

The image where the ALT attribute is missing is the where text appearing on your homepage

    alt

If the ALT attribute is already added to the image in your media gallery, then you may need to get in touch with your theme provider to add it manually on your site since it is not showing on the frontend.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi,

    My website is https://sonic-happy-hour.us/

I’ve made sure to add alt attributes to all my images, including those in the slider and icons. Despite this, I’m still facing an issue with an error related to alt text.

Can anyone suggest how I can pinpoint the cause of this error and resolve it?

    Thanks for your help!
