    Rank Math free

Hello: We are using RankMath on a new WordPress site. When we loaded the site we used the template’s content so there are a few ‘canned’ posts on our page that we would like to delete. I believe this would be done with a redirect, but we are not sure the best way to ‘delete’ these posts so they do not show up or in the xml file. Thanks for your help.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

If you don’t want these posts to appear on the XML sitemap, you can head over to the Rank Math metabox > Advanced tab and check the “Noindex” option as shown below:

    null
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Thank you. What if they are already indexed? Will this remove them?

    Hi Todd,

No this will not remove the posts from Google cache but you can submit a link removal request for each of the affected posts to permanently remove them.

Please take a look at this article for more info on this: https://support.google.com/websearch/answer/6349986?hl=en

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

OK, that worked! Thanks for your help!
