Divi Scroll Effects not working in versions higher than 1.0.48.1

    Hi.
    We have noticed that after a recent update, the Divi Scroll Effects features started malfunctioning. We then started to roll back versions one by one to check and see which of the versions solved the problem. When we reverted back to version 1.0.48.1, the problem was solved.
    To understand the problem, visit our page and scroll down over to the section with the heading “Divi Scroll Effects”.

    This section is full of well timed scroll effects, none of which were working since the latest updates. The effects would start working only after I had refreshed the page multiple times.

    We will refrain from updating RankMath until a fix is found for this issue.
    We will keep monitoring our website and will keep you updated.

    Okay so apparently even downgrading to 1.0.48.1 is not working either. It seemed to work for sometime and now I see the problem again.

    Seems to be an issue with lazy loading.

    We are looking into this issue and are in contact with the support department of the theme developer.

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    The Rank Math plugin should not be affecting the frontend loading of your website as it does not load any JS/CSS file.

    Did you try after disabling the Rank Math plugin?

    Hi.

    Yes we had realized the fact that RankMath should not be affecting the frontend loading of our website.
    We also noticed that, even with RankMath installed, the scroll animations would sometimes work perfectly and at other times, they would malfunction.
    Later, we even uninstalled RankMath and since the problem was still there, we were able to conclude that it was not RankMath.
    So we contacted the theme developer and even they are shocked about what is happening on this page.
    We now think that this is an issue related to the new image lazy loading feature in WordPress 5.5, in which “images wait to load until they’re just about to scroll into view” (https://wordpress.org/news/2020/08/eckstine/)
