Update 1.0.49 crashes my website

    Sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    It seems like new tables are not getting created in the Database or some old plugin has left an incorrect entry.

    Please follow these steps to fix the issue:

    1. Take a complete backup of your website
    2. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
    3. Head over to the Snippets menu in the left sidebar and click Add New
    add new snippet
    4. Give that post any name and copy the below code in the Code field

    add_action( 'init', function() {
    	delete_option( 'schema-ActionScheduler_StoreSchema' );
    } );

    5. Select ‘Only run in administration area’ option and click the Save and Activate button
    run only in admin area wordpress
    6. Open WordPress Dashboard in a new window
    7. Then deactivate recently created snippet from here
    disable snippet
    8. Then activate the Rank Math plugin again
    9. Please disable the Code Snippets plugin if you are not going to use it

    Please clear all the cache, including the server after following the above process.

    Why are you replying with the same information that I linked to? The url offers to resolve this issue if we provide WordPress credentials which I did (We will fix that for you.) Please fix.

    Furthermore, I have enough plugins. Don’t need to add any more so please do as instructed since I’ve included my WordPress credentials. Very disappointed that you didn’t even bother to read your own post that offers to do this for me if I requested it and provided credentials.

    Please add your FTP details as well in the sensitive data section in case anything goes haywire, we can not afford to keep your website offline.

    Thank you so much for your assistance. Question, was there an issue or issues with my particular database that prompted the failed rankmath update? If so, was this fix a workaround? Do I need to hire a developer to fix my database? Can these issues if not addressed cause further problems? And lastly, have your developers identified the actual problem and where it lies?

    This issue is caused by a third-party library included in Rank Math. We have contacted its authors and we’re working together to find a solution for this.

    The fix added to your website fixes the code in that 3rd party library and you won’t face any issue related to this from Rank Math moving forward.

    No, you do not need to hire anyone to fix anything now.
